South Africa docked 5 penalty runs for ball-tampering 3rd day of 2nd Test against Pakistan in Dubai on Friday.
Television cameras showed S.African fielder Faf du Plessis rubbing ball his trousers zip, in apparent attempt to tamper with ball.
Umpires Rod Tucker of Australia and England's Ian Gould called South African captain Graeme Smith, changed the ball and added 5 runs to Pakistan's score.
Pakistan struggling 62 runs 3 with Dale Steyn about start 31st over when umpires took notice of ball & took decision.
International Cricket Council (ICC) rule 42.1 tampering, if umpire spots change in condition of ball but doesn't know who is culprit, he will issue a first & final warning to captain & ball will change.
In case ball tampered again, then bowling team will face a 5-run penalty & umpires not change ball again but captain will held responsible & reported.
But in this case umpires saw Du Plessis rubbing ball in move to tamper with ball & they called Smith & docked 5 penalty runs.
ICC spokesman confirm this incident.
